What are standard king, queen, double and single bed dimensions in India?
There is no single Indian dimension that every seller uses for each bed label. Current manufacturer pages use different lengths or widths under the same name. Measure the selected product and treat its written dimensions as the source for your layout.

The two queen examples differ in length, and IKEA’s listed queen width is wider than both. A bed frame may also project beyond the mattress because of its headboard, footboard, side rails, upholstery or storage hardware. Never use only the mattress label for a room plan.

Do not begin by filling every wall. A bedroom needs usable access and calm visual order, but that does not mean empty decoration or one universal layout. The correct option depends on the users, room and items.

What should a bedroom brief contain?
Name the people who use the room and what they need now. Also record likely changes. A room for one adult, a couple, an older person or a guest may require different access, storage and privacy decisions.

Do not use “master bedroom” or “luxury bedroom” as the complete brief. Those labels do not state the people, storage, comfort or work required.
How should the bedroom be measured?
Record every wall length, clear height, beam, column, ledge and floor change. Mark doors and windows with their positions, sizes and opening movement. Include the route from the bedroom door to the bed, wardrobe, window, balcony or attached bathroom.

How do you make a bedroom layout?

Do not apply a copied clearance to every project. Test the actual users, bed, shutters and routes. Record the accepted dimensions on the plan so a later product change does not invalidate the decision.
How do you plan a small bedroom?
Set priorities before adding storage. The bed, usable approach and required clothing storage often come first. A desk, dresser, chair, television or large decorative wall should stay only if it serves a real activity and fits in use.
Reduce the number of objects before making every object too small. One bedside surface may serve the room better than two cramped units. A sliding wardrobe can avoid a shutter swing, but it has overlapping access, track, cleaning and repair needs. A storage bed needs opening space and convenient access to the stored items.

“Space-saving” is not enough. State the activity, the space saved and the new movement the item requires.

How should a 10x10, 10x12 or 12x12 bedroom be planned?
Treat the stated room size as a starting label, not a finished layout. First verify whether it describes clear inside dimensions and whether columns, ledges or fixed furniture reduce the usable area.
For a 10x10 bedroom layout, compare the bed on each workable wall. Check the door, window, wardrobe and any bathroom route before adding a desk or dresser. A bed that appears centred in a square sketch may still leave poor wardrobe access.
For a 10 by 12 bedroom layout, decide which direction the longer dimension helps. It may support bed approach, wardrobe length or a secondary activity. Do not assume the longer wall must hold the headboard.
For a 12 by 12 bedroom layout, extra plan area does not remove opening and service conflicts. Test the same gates. A square room can still have awkward doors, windows or attached-bathroom access.
The same method applies to a 10 by 15 or 12 by 15 master bedroom layout. Use the added length for a named need. Do not fill it with a bench, television wall or dresser only because an image shows one.

A feature wall can use paint, wallpaper, panelling, art, light or the furniture itself. Check the actual wall, bed relationship, switches, cleaning, future change and full cost. Do not copy a product arrangement from a bedroom image.

Approve a coordinated issue that contains:
- a verified room plan and the accepted furniture layout;
- exact retained and proposed bed and furniture sizes;
- wardrobe drawings, internal use, material and hardware records;
- electrical, lighting, fan and air-conditioning coordination;
- approved real material and colour samples;
- complete quotations and responsibility boundaries;
- direct-purchase, delivery and installation owners;
- open decisions, allowances and change control.
